KOKO BODY SKINCARE RITUALS

Make your facemask work for you.

Did you know you can customise your facemask to make it provide optimal results for your skin no matter what your skin type is?

All Koko facemasks come in powder form to create the perfect base for your ultimate facemask. All you have to do is add your chosen mixer and blend away. Its super simple to do and you can even use ingredients you would find in your kitchen.

Water for simple daily exfoliation

The easiest way to use your mask is to add water. Water is perfect for an everyday quick exfoliation or if you are using your mask as cleansing grains. To keep skin looking bright and clear try using your mask every morning in the shower. Simply sprinkle half a spoon of the mask into your palm. Wet the other hand and rub together until the water blends with the mask. Rub over the face, neck, and chest in circles for a simple quick daily exfoliation. Green is fab for this as it contains skin-brightening vitamin c so you can easily get your daily dose of vit c goodness.

Oils for extra nourishment

If you suffer from dry skin try using oil as your mixer for your blend it yourself facemask. Our cleansing oil has a beautiful balance of pore clearing herbs and flowers that keep skin clear but nourished. Kitchen staples like organic olive oil or avocado oil work to create a nourishing mask too.

Pimp it up with fruit enzymes

How about pimping up that mask with some natural fruit acids. Summertime strawberries contain natural beta hydroxy acid – salicylic acid – which helps combat clogged pores and acne. Natural alpha-hydroxy acids exfoliate and remove old dead skin cells which give a dull looking complexion. Papaya, pineapple, and apple all have high levels of fruit acids – Papaya has papain, pineapple – bromelain and apple has malic acid. Malic acid works well on skin with pigmentation concerns. Get creative and try a few fruity concoctions.

Boost your mask with herbal actives

Tea time anyone? Herbal tea is a super simple way of adding extra botanical actives to your blend it yourself mask. Chamomile tea can fight redness and inflammation so try it on red or irritated skin. It’s soothing too so sensitive skin loves it. Got green tea? Gorgeous green chlorophyll in matcha or green tea is a skin detox dream. It helps boost circulation and oxygenation leading to more radiant looking skin. Think glowing gorgeous skin. Licorice tea can brighten and balance while bright red hibiscus tea is packed with antioxidants and can inhibit the skin aging enzyme elastase. Use it on mature or dry skin for a softer nourished youthful skin.

What do you add to your blend it yourself mask to make it work for your skin? My fave is brilliant blue butterfly pea flower tea combined with Yellow and a pop of turmeric powder.
